Our manufacturing is French. Our perfumes are created in Paris, assembled in Grasse, and bottled in Seine et Marne. Some of our components come from European partners; in particular our bottles which are produced in Italy. They are decorated by a craftsman from Val-de-Marne and we have entrusted the manufacturing of our cardboard cases to a printer in Barcelona.

We favor local. Our manufacturing is therefore French. Our packaging is chosen for its minimal environmental impact: recycled cardboard and partly recycled glass. We avoid over-packaging as much as possible, so we have adjusted the size of the case to the bottle to avoid any wasted space. We ban plastic as much as possible with a few exceptions: our pump and the necessary inserts in the covers so that our bottles remain airtight.

We continue to work with all our partners with a view to continuous improvement, to reduce our carbon footprint.

We are part of PETA's (People for the EthicalTreatment of Animals) "Global Beauty without bunnies" program, which proves that our perfumes are vegan and not tested on animals .

Our perfumes comply with the ISO 16128 standard, which requires a minimum of 95% natural ingredients for a product to be called natural. We have chosen to have 5% synthetics. These 5% are quality ingredients often also from natural sources (for example, Ambroxan which is a molecule naturally present in clary sage). They make it possible to beautify natural products, obtain better staying power for our perfumes and offer greater creative freedom for our perfumers.

The INCI list (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients) is a mandatory nomenclature for cosmetic products since 1999. It aims to standardize the ingredients present in a cosmetic product. For perfumes, Europe has regulated 24 molecules which, when used above a certain concentration, must be mentioned in the INCI list, although they are themselves part of the perfume of a product. These molecules can come directly from the essential oils contained in the perfume (for example, limonene, a molecule present in large quantities in citrus essences). Soon the list of these molecules will be supplemented by 57 new molecules (IFRA 51) which will have to be listed on perfume packaging. Don't be surprised if our packaging evolves over time.

Do not be afraid ! You should know that each natural raw material contains a long list of molecules (for example, the rose is made up of around a hundred odorous molecules). So if all these molecules were detailed, the list of natural ones would greatly exceed the list of synthetic ones!

We take care to choose quality synthetic ingredients, often from natural sources. We do not use any controversial ingredients and if there is any doubt about an ingredient, we prefer not to use it.

We use organic wheat alcohol. Organic wheat alcohol is non-toxic and safe to use in creating perfumes. It is also less likely to cause skin irritation or allergic reactions than some synthetic alcohols.

Bastille works in collaboration with the composition company IFF-LMR which promotes sustainable agriculture and allows us to integrate fair trade ingredients, some certified "Fair for Life" in our perfumes such as tuberose in Pleine Lune.

Perfume is a little luxury in a bottle, so if we can avoid wasting it, all the better! To get maximum magic with minimum perfume, simply spray your fragrance about 10-20 cm from your skin - and above all, in the right place. It is the heat that diffuses your perfume. It is therefore preferable to apply perfume on the hot spots of your body: your wrists, in the hollow behind your ears (our favorite place), in the folds of your elbow or even... behind the knees. Bastille perfumes are composed of 95% natural materials and are without stabilizers: they are therefore a little more sensitive to light, heat and humidity than classic perfumes. But don't worry, you can keep them for at least 18 months or even more!

On the other hand, they can slightly affect its color, which is why we advise you to keep your perfume away from light.

It is entirely possible to perfume yourself with Bastille perfumes during pregnancy since we take care not to add additives, preservatives and stabilizers in our formulas. Some of them are considered endocrine disruptors.

Have you discovered your perfume sample and you're not sure if it's right for you? No worries: the return of 30, 50 and 100 ml bottles is possible within 15 days if the box of your bottle has not been opened and is in impeccable condition.

Returns made from mainland France are free! If you live outside France, you will be responsible for the return shipping costs of the product.

In the case of a return made from abroad, the shipping costs remain your responsibility.

Delivery methods depend on the country of delivery. We offer the most suitable means of transport depending on the country of delivery of your package.

Products purchased on the Site can be delivered to a postal address worldwide.

In the event of an order to a country other than mainland France, you are the importer of the product(s) concerned. Customs duties or other local taxes that may be required will be your responsibility.
