Let's start with the bad news: on 22 August 2020, we will have consumed all the resources the planet is capable of producing in a year. A date that falls 3 weeks later than in 2019, "thanks" to global containment. Granted, that's not very cheerful - so to make the most of the beautiful season in all conscience, we've prepared a small selection of greens alternatives to your summer essentials.

Come on, get in the water.

After two months spent in a Parisian two-room apartment (or in a house in the provinces, for the luckiest ones), we have only one desire: to return to the big blue sea. To accompany us, a bathing suit from MyMariniretro just the right amount. MyMarini thinks of everything: entirely made in Europe (within a 600 km radius, to limit transport) from recycled fishing net fibre, the swimming costumes are reversible and offer SPF 50 sun protection. Go ahead, we tell you, it's not cold!

If, like us, you're the kind of person who gets sunburned in Nord-Pas-de-Calais on March 15 (tmtc), we've got just the thing for you in terms of clean sunscreen. As you may know, the chemical components found in ordinary creams can be harmful to the ocean, and coral in particular. Why replace neoprene? Because it comes straight from oil, its manufacture is extremely polluting and it is impossible to recycle. Sen No Sen replaces it with a natural rubber made from tree sap, Yulex. All you have to do is learn how to stand on the board!

Need a quick shower after the big bath? Say goodbye to plastic: choose a solid soap and shampoo! Summer party

We swore we wouldn't buy anything else at Zara's since we took a look at the carbon footprint of fast fashion (and we met three girls wearing the same dress as us in the evening). This time it's the right one: we've made a small selection of eco-responsible AND sexy brands for you to dress up your summer evenings.

For sandals, it's direction Balzac. Yes, yes, Balzac! You may not know them for their commitment to the green, and yet: they see fashion differently. Their garment workshops are in the process of being certified GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) and their sandals are 100% vegan. Did you see only leather in them too?
